Dr. Serra earned her bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in foreign languages from Fairfield University, then completed her Doctor of Optometry at the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry. She gained early hands-on experience through a medical mission in Peru, where she provided vision screenings and dispensed eyeglasses to underserved communities.

With a focus on early detection and management of chronic eye conditions, Dr. Serra is experienced in treating glaucoma, diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy, macular degeneration, and dry eye. She also fits specialty contact lenses, including multifocal and toric lenses for patients with complex vision needs.

Dr. Serra is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, allowing her to connect with patients from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
